Spice Spice Baby

Shochu Brand: Satsuma Houzan,

Imo Shochu

This drink has multiple steps in order to perfect it, taking more than a day to make. However, the result is amazing as the aroma and flavor of apple is present, which is complemented by spices from the tea bags.

  • Apple spice infused shochu*

  • Q Ginger Beer

  • Orange Twist or Apple Slice

    Apple Spice Infused Shochu

  • 750ml Satsuma Houzan

  • 1-2 Honey Crisp Apples (sliced thin)

  • 4-5 Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice Tea Bags

  3. Stir gently to combine if desired.

  4. Garnish with an orange twist or apple slice OR go big and festive, and garnish with an orange wheel, rosemary sprig, and a cocktail cherry.

Apple Spice Infused Shochu

  1. Infuse Satsuma Houzan with Bengal Spice tea and apple slices for 1 day at room temperature. We recommend 5 tea bags for more spice!

  2. Stir contents and check flavor strength.

  3. If more apple flavor is desired, let it infuse with the apples longer or add more fresh apple slices.

  4. Be sure to refrigerate after the first day of infusion.

  5. When satisfied with flavor, remove all tea bags and apples.

  6. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate.

  7. Use within 2 weeks.
